Along overgrown road on terrace along south side of Deal Creek; mixed pine-hardwood canopy. Site #25 (Lat. 34°10l50"; Long. 82°41l30"), ca. 2 miles east of the Savannah River; ca. 2.5 miles southwest of town of Lowndesville, S. C. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980's.
