Habitat
Dry hillside with white metamorphic crumbling rock (? talc) with low trees and shrubs, and some cerrado in valleys. Open hillside in very fine sandy soil amongst crystalline stones.

Herb ca. 20 cm. high with yellow tepals with brown mottled base. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
