This is, apparently, a teratologioal specimen. It is not a hybrid. The ^ree is evidently a white oak ((^« alba ). It oould not be a hybrid with any of the willow oaks, as these belong in the bristle tipped group. I infer that it must have come from a sucker or from an old stump.
A very interesting specimen.
