    Large native tree, 80 cm in diameter, 22 m tall; bark furrowed, fallen because of rotten trunk. Herbarium specimens from top of crown; some buds bolting and male flowers emerging; leaves turning brown or purplish, glaucous below. Voucher for wood specimen MADw 46541; the wood taken from a a nearby erect large upper branch. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
