    Forest on gently undulating terrain, alternating between (1) dense forest with strong presence (but not dominance) of Guadua sarcocarpa that died back 22 years ago, and (2) "baixio" (forest in low-lying area with waterlogged soils). Rare.

    "Strangler" tree. "Strangler" fig, 11 m, syconia depressed-globose, dull pale green, depressed-globose, 2 cm diam. In upland forest. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
