Leon County: small scrubby tree. Longleaf pine-scrub oak sand ridge, at Trout Pond Recreation Area, Apalachicola National Forest, off to E from Spring Hill Road, generally S of Tallahassee. Some associates: Pinus palustris, Quercus incana, (£. margaretta, Vaccl-nium elliottli, Pityopsis flexuosa, Pityopsis aspera var. adenolepis, Eriogonum tomentosum, Arlstida stricta, and others.
