Franklin County: plants clonal, stems to 1 m tall. In open, well-drained longleaf pineland, off Wright Lake Road, near power line right of way, Apalachicola National Forest, generally S of Sumatra. Some associates: Pinuê palustris, Aristida stricta, Que reus pumila, Carphepho-rus paniculatus, Ctenium aromaticum, AndropO-gon virginicus var. glaucus, Vaccinium myrsi nites.
