Tree 9 m. tall. Bark chestnut-brown, corky. Fruit 5-8 cm. long, purple with IS radially arranged seeds.
In seboruco or scrub growth of limestone outcrop 2 miles east of Harvard House, Soledad, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara Province, Cuba.
