Acoras abundantly produced and readily falling, covering the ground in some spots; bark dull grey, thinly ropy and with diamond-shaped patterns; tall trees with rounded, spreading crowns, to about 20m(?) tall; specimens all from lowest branches, the leaf blades on the north (shadier) side of the tree clearly less lobed than those on the south side; long cultivated here as shade trees: N wind of Babcock Bldg on grounds at State Hospital off Bull Street; Columbia.
