Growing along the fringe amonst wind-shorn tree. Not uncommon.

Description
A small much-branched umbrellaoshaped tree of slow growth, the leaf buds just breaking. Leaves large with 7 pairs of leaflets. They and the inflorescence woolly. Berries scarlet. One of the most striking trees in the forest. Inside the forest it reaches to great size. Phenology of specimen: Fruit, Fertile.
