Ca 250 yds beyond tipoff of drainage, in center of drainage, in shade, rocky granitic outcrop, with Cupressus arizonica, Pinus discolor, Arctostaphylos pungens, Agave parryi, A. schottii, Quercus toumeyi, Q. turbinei la, Nolina microcarpa, Garrya flavescens, Dasylirion, Brickellia venosa, B. californica, Hedeoma,
Yucca schottii, Mammillaria wilcoxii, Hymenothrix, Choisya. Local, old plant, much-branched, checkered-barked base.
