foothills of the Volcan de Colima, the Colima/Jalisco line
cuts through the ranch; natural vegetation humid montane
forest. (Near 19° 26.6' N, 103° 41' W.) Alt. 1400 m.
Around Lago Epazote. An uncommon 2 m high shrubby
perennial growing at the foot of a steep N-facing slope in
a disturbed area. Stems weak and semiherbaceous. FIs.
yellow-green with green spots; fruit red when ripe.
