Along dry drainage channel through maize fields on nearly level, gentle slopes of fine volcanic ash and sandy alluvium, now very dry.
Weak herb, with several stems from base. Corolla yellow with 5 purple-brown spots; anthers purple. Fruiting calyx 5-angled.
