"jaltomate", not commonly eaten. Weak but erect single-stemmed herbs to 1.5 m. tall, in a patch. Foliage with very slight but not foetid odor. Fruit only; fruiting calyx green (without purple veins) or light brown, 10-angled but 5 alternate ones slightly stronger; calyx and fruit falling when light yellow-green; fruit not viscid, juicy, sweet, similar in taste to but not quite as strong as those of cultivated Physalis pubescens.
