Field notes: Annual herb with spreading branches 1—2 feet long. Corolla-limb sordid yellow with brownish spots at base of lobes in throat. Anthers pale lavender-blue. Fruit sessile, the bottom of the bruiting calyx concave outward. Grwoing in rich loam on gentle northern slope near summit of island.
