Herb; leaves fleshy, smooth. Corolla yellow, spreading-rotate, with 5 purple-brown spots; filaments purple; connective yellow-green; the thecae blue-purple; filaments elongating sequentially, the anthers also dehiscing sequentially and then curving inwards. No fruiting calyces present.
Weedy area with Abutilon theophrasti, Conyza canadensis, Panicum dichotomiflorum of 4100 block of N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.
