The upper part of harder rock and the lower with broken fragments of shale weathered into a rich, dark soil. The upper bluff a brushy Vaccinium assocn. ; lower w/ Carpinus. 800-900 ft.; Gordonsburg Quad From lower bluff near creek in moderate shade with Rhus aromatica, Spigelia, and Dioscorea.
