Sand dunes formerly with overstory of Juniperus virginiana and Sabal palmetto, these replaced by Schinus and Casuarina; understory shrubs consisting of natives (Coccoloba, Randia and Eugenia) and exotics.
Herb, rhizomamtous; corolla yellow, flowers pendent. Growing on shell bed exposed to full sun.
