Mexico: State of Jalisco; Mpio. Zapopan; Zapopan, Hacienda Trailer Park, near the Pan
American Univeristy, just southwest of Guadalajara. Cultivated shrub of South American
origin, planted near swimming pool; plant several meters tall; flowers dark purple-blue with
yellow anthers, open at 7 am, closed in afternoon; fruit green turning orange.
