Habitat
Remnant bushy cloud forest on S-facing slope at top of ridge, the N-facing side barren and arid pastures. Common.

Description
Shrubs, to 4 m. tall; stem with peeling, yellow-tan bark. Some shrubs, especially in the shade, with abundant, mostly nodding flowers; flowers open, with a pleasant jasmine fragrance (4:30 P.M., sunny day); corollas variable in color and shape of lobes from plant to plant, the lobes more rounded on some; orifice yellow-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
