BOSQUE CADUCIFOLIO. Disturbed remnants of forest
of Liquidambar macrophylla, Meliosma alba, Carpinus
caroliniana, Hedyosmum mexicanum, partly cleared for
pastures and cultivated fields.
Shrub 4 m. tall in ravine. Corolla creamy white
with purple tinge. Fruit white when young, bright
blue-purple at maturity, spongy-juicy and white
within, tasteless; seeds brown.
