Collector’s note. Cañón de Matancita is a narrow
tortuous, often vertical-walled canyon with intermitent per-
manent water and many grooes of Erythea Brandegeei. The
most common trees or shrubs are Ficus Palmeri, Lysiloma
candida, Jatropha cinerea, Karwinskya Humboldtiana,
Acacia Brandegeana and Hyptis Emoryi.
