Weak shrub to 2.5 m. tall; foliage odorless. Corolla dull
pale yellow; filaments the same color; anthers light
purplish; calyx loosely investing the fruit until fully
ripe, then the lobes somewhat recurved, the base in full
fruit somewhat inflated. Fruit first green, then turning
bright orange, soft, juicy, with little taste, slightly bitter,
not pungent but tasting somewhat like Capsicum; seeds
orange-brown.
