On south-facing slope. With Pinus, Populus and Juniperus. In rocky, quartzite-derived soil.

Description
Herbage densley pubescent below with coarse dendritic and 3-branched (rarely malpighian) hairs, glabrous above; petals whitish-pale lavender, becoming darker with age; fruiting pedicels spreading-descending; fruits ± straight, compressed parallel to the septum, <2mm wide. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
