Spindly shrub 1.5 m tall. Inflorescence pendant. Inflorescence rachis, petals and filaments brillant red. Pollen blue. Petals conspicuously concave and pendant flowers at anthesis. Maturing berries purple. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
