Habitat
Growing in a brushy 21 year old old-field with Prunus serotina, Cornus florida, Malus, and Rhus. Very common.

Description
Tree to 6.1 m. Reddish peeling bark. Somewhat open habit. Blue-green cones, mature cones open, blue and waxy. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
