Habitat
Western face sandstone serra with horizontally bedded rocks. Extensive grassland with low woodland. Rock and small streams with low woodland. Rock outcrops at higher altitudes, with humid forest in rocky declivity below summit.

Description
Erect fleshy herb to 80cm. Leaves dark green above, paler below, often reddish tinged. Bracts pale green, tinged red. Petals yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
