Erect rather fleshy herb to 40cm with
several erect stems, red-tinged below,
from fibrous rootstock. Loaves fleshy,
pale, dull green above, paler beneath.
Bracts brighter green, tinged x-eddish.
Petals rather deep yellow. Standard with
two red blazes.
