Locality: Grenada, St. David, Morne Gazo, along main nature trail.
12°02' N, 61°43' W
Notes: Tree 14 m tall. ARK: pale grey, rough, with 'eyes' at old nodes and horizontal ridges every 20-40 cm and flat longitudinal lenticels 10x2 mm. LASH: soft, spongy, fibrous, orange-red with yellow vertical strands, smell sweet like cane-sugar.
