residential construction, along an unnamed gravel road through a subdivision,
just over a low hill from a tidal marsh, Middle Island, Bald Head Island. - elev.
ca. 10 ft. - UTM 18 224665E 3750576N - Lat. 33° 51' 4PN, Long. 77° 58'
34" W - Assoc, spp. Phaeographis dendritica, Phaeographis lobata, Dirinaria
picta, Fissurina insidiosa, Arthonia rubella.
Thallus corticolous, crusotse, thick, blue-white, esorediate, UV-; ascomata
immersed; exciple not carbonized, tannish-yellow; hymenium colorless; epihymenium
colorless; spores 8-per ascus, colorless, ellipsoid, ca. 7-9 celled, 24-28^m x 5-6.5nm;
paraphyses slender, not branched, not apically swollen, colorless.
