United States of America. Georgia. Elbert Co. Richard B. Russell Dam and Lake area: bottom of road embankment at lower end of Twin Lakes. Site No. 48, ca. 0.75 mile north of Georgia 72; ca. 10 miles east of Elberton. Twin Lakes are drained by small stream that flows north into Beaverdam Creek which flows into the Savannah River. Area to be impounded in mid-1980's to form Russell Lake (full pool, 475-ft. contour).
