Location
Nicaragua. Chontales. Close to a side track running NE from the main Juigalpa to Rama road at El Carmen towards Cerro Los Andes about 12 km. E of Juigalpa and 5 km. NE of ElCarmen, in hilly ground S of Cerro de Los Andes.

Habitat
Scattered in highly degraded scrub humid forest and pasture area with Busera, Guazuma, Byrsonima and Crescentia. Infrequent.

Description
Small tree with heavy branches and a spreading crown to 8 m. ht.; dbh 50cm. Bark smooth pale grey with occasional horizontal ribs, inner bark bright green. Foliage discolorous, bright, slightly glossy mid green above, paler below. Heavy crop of unripe green pods. A few round insect galls noted on collected material. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
