Description
Pileus 2.5-5.5 cm broad, dry, convex, bright yellow with some bittersweet orange. Flesh white, slowly pale brown on exposure, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate with a slight decurrent tooth, grayish yellow (4B4), staining pale brown, favoloid, compound. Stipe 4-8 cm long, 7-15 mm broad, +/- equal with slight taper at base, pale yellowish white with some bright yellow near apex, glabrous to finely fibrillose streaked, with interior white, slowly pale brown when exposed. Spores subfusoid, slightly suballantoid in profile. Hymenial cystidia (pseudocystidia) present.
