Sierra de Bahoruco Mtns., ca. 22-23 km. from Cabo Rojo on the Alcoa Aluminum Road (ca. 15 km. NE of Perdenales). Elev. 600-900 m. Moist mixed hardwood forest; rocky eroded limestone; steep slopes.
Tree into canopy.
Cream colored copious sap.
