Habitat
In Nothofagus forest with undergrowth of spiny palms.

Description
Tree c. 28 m, stem c. 10 m, d.b.h. c. 80 cm. Leaves dark olivaceous above light green below. Anthers yellowish red or red. Female flowers yellowish green. Buttresses up to 2 x 0.5 x 0.15 m. Bark reddish brown. Wood reddish pink very hard. This is a tree which reaches up to 30 m of height and a diam. of up to 1.5 m. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
