LOCALITY: Provincia de Matanzas: ca. 10 km. from Playa Larga, along road north toward Palpite.
Elev.: ca. 10 m. m.
HABITAT: Recently disturbed area along seasonally flooded forest (swamp fores). Dry season.
DESCRIPTION: Sub-shrub, erect to decumbent, 70-100 cm tall; inflorescence erect with greenish receptacle; corolla violet-pink. .
