VERBENACEAE
Shrubs or small trees to 8ft tall, occasional, flowers white.
Pine woodland/tropical woodland ecotone in pockets of
loamy organic soil over rough oolitic limestone. With
Alvaradoa amorphoides, Anemia adiantifolia, Annona glabra,
Ardisia escallonioides, Bursera simaruba, Callicarpa
americana, Cassytha filiformis, Chamaecrista lineata,
Chiococca parvifolia, Clusia rosea, Coccothrinax argentata,
Cordia bahamensis, Crotalaria pumila, Dipholis salicifolia,
Duranta repens, Erigeron quercifolius, Ernodea littoralis,
Eugenia axillaris, E.foetida, Ficus citrifolia, Guettarda *
scabra, Jacquemontia verticillata, Juniperus barbadensis
(looks like J. virginiana), Metopium toxiferum, Mikania
scandens, Myrica cerifera, Myrsine floridana (Rapanea
punctata), Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Passiflora
bahamensis, P. pallida (P. suberosa), Pinus caribaea,
Pluchea odorata, Pteridium aquilinum, Scleria lithosperma,
Senna ligustrinù, Smilax havanensis, Tabebuia bahamensis,
Tetrazygia bicolor, Trema lamarckiana, Vitis rotundifolia and
Zamia pumila. Along the Atala Nature Trail, around 900ft W.
of the intersection of two “large” roads and around 3.5mi N.
of Owens Town, North Andros District, northern Andros
