Forest near Hell's Gate, moist soil, partly shaded by trees. Shrublike plant, up to 40 cm high, few branched. Stem greenish to somewhat purplish. White latex present which is very painfull in the mouth! Leaves green, lower side greyish green; central vein whitish. Calyx green; corolla tube whitish, lobes white; androgynophore whitish; anthers cream; stigma green; ovary green. Fruits green with purple ribs. Seeds shiny, red brown.
