Habitat
In primary forest. The soil is norally sandy dark brown, quite humid and rich in humus. Tropical environment with an annual average of 27° C temp. at 150 m. elev. and 3500 mm. of rain with high humidity and a dry season from December 15 till March 15 (with rain at least once a week). It is commonly found, everywhere (3 out of 2573 trees).

Description
It is a tree 30 (-80) cm. dbh & 15 (-35) m. tall, bark with strong smell, reddish bark and white wood. It is a deciduous tree. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
