  • Description

    Gasterocarps up to 2.5 cm broad, slightly flattened to subglobose to globose, dry, dark red brown to red brown, often brownish orange near attachment with a bit of hymenophore exposed. Gleba loculose, exuding a white latex with subacrid taste, with latex staining white paper yellow, pale orange (5A3). Very short stipe up to 2 mm long or lacking, sometimes sterile trama extending from attachment. Spores globose with a fine amyloid reticulum, approx 10 µm.
