In an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Quercus alba, Vitis, Persicaria virginiana and Celastrus orbiculatus.

Description
Leaning tree, growing toward the sun. Bracts creamy white blushed red, almost past theri prime; flowers just starting to open. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
