At edge of an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Lindera benzoin, Erythronium americanum, Eurybia divaricata, Acer rubrum, and Parthenocissus quinquefolia.

Description
Small, leaning tree to approx. 6.10 m tall. Bracts cream color with blush of greenish-yellow. Cleft at end of bract os red. Most flowers in bud. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
