    United States of America. Idaho. Custer Co. East slope Lost River Range, Challis National Forest, vicinity of Doublespring Pass. Alpine grassy ridge along southwest side of Buck Creek.

    On brownish (apparently) low-grade quartzitic rock near crest of ridge with Cymopterus glaucus, Penstemon montanus, and Erigerron tweedyi. Occasional.

  • Description

    Pubescence appressed; flowers white, the keel purple tipped; wings longer than the keel; calyx black-hairy, the teeth ca. 1 mm long; pods thick, leathery, ca. 15 mm long, incompletely 2-celled. (Both keel lenght of 8-8.5 mm and banner index to 9 too small sensu C. L. Hitchcock, but within range in Barneby's Atlas). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

crest of ridge with Cymopterus glaucus,
Penstemon montanus, and Erigeron tweedyi.
Pubescence appressed; fls white, the keel
purple tipped; wings longer than the keel;
