Habitat
On muddy wet streambanks. Heavily grazed meadow on fine silty pumice soil. Wet areas fed vy perennial springs, drier margins intergrading into Pinus contorta forest and Aremisia tridentata scrub upland. Abundant head-cutting by cattle, inside and outside of fenced exclosure. With Iris missouriensis, Stellaria longipes, Dodecatheon, Taraxicum, Achillea, Juncus, Carex, Ribes spp. Occasional.
