Mexico. Jalisco. 20-22 km. south of Talpa de Allende, in the headwaters of a west branch of Río de Talpa.

Habitat
Barranca above a rapid clear stream. In dense forest of Quercus, Carpinus, Sistylium, Magnolia, Podocarpus, with pine forest on the ridges above. Abundant in pine forest.

Several-stemmed herb 1.5 m. high; rays white; disk yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
