Near edge of black water lake. Common.

Description
Tree 6 m. high, multistemmed; trunks up to 12 cm. diam. Wood yellowish, tinged with red near bark. Cauliflorous (flowers from nearby tree of same sp.) Flowers hemophrodite. Corolla dirty white, filaments white at base, pink, then red at tips; style red. Faint scent. Ants farming bugs on pods. Pods green. Dehiscent along one suture. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
