    Gently sloping pasture near upper limit of juniper zone. A few mountain-mahogany (Cercocarpus ledifolius) and Artemisia tridentata with Poa secunda, Agropyron spicatum, Bromus tectorum, Chrysopsis villosa, Lappula redowskii, Zigadenus, Antennaria rosea, Oenothera andina, Collinsia parviflora, Lithospermum parvidlora, and Astragalus spatulatus. Soil shallow, with rock outcrops.
