PORTLAND PARISH: Blue Mountains. Along road between Green Hills and Section, ca. 1120-990 m alt. Cloud forest to Transitional forest; clay soil. Melastomes: Mecranium spp., Conostegia spp., Miconia spp., Heterotrichum, Clidemia, Blakea. Uncommon shrub 2 m tail; flowers white; this plant collected at 1070 m alt.
