Habitat
Lower montane rainforest. Locally uncommon.

Description
Scandent shrub supported by adjacent vegetation. Petals red and erect forming a cup-like structure at anthesis. Anthers yellow. Berries first green turning red and ultimately purple. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
