Very dry slope. Dry rocky chaparral of Pinus cembroides, Juniperus flaccida, Rhus andrieuxii, Fraxinus greggii, Cowania plicata, Castilleja integrifolia.

Flowers pale blue, shading gradually to deeper tone above. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Notes (shown on label)
When first dried, the flowers and pedicels were rather densely covered with white waxy granules (this proves soluble in alcohol).
